What is a Soils Report? A soils report, also known as a geotechnical report, is a detailed evaluation of the ground conditions at a project site, including soil composition, stability, and load-bearing capacity. This report is essential for determining how a structure should be designed and built to ensure long-term performance and safety. In most cases, soils reports are required for permitting and construction approval, as they help engineers, architects, and local agencies verify that the proposed project meets building codes and can safely withstand environmental and structural demands.
Preliminary Geotechnical Investigations
Most projects begin with the performance of a preliminary geotechnical investigation. These investigations are focused on providing detailed grading and foundation design recommendations.
Earthwork Observation

We provide technician and engineering/geology support personnel to monitor the geotechnical aspects of a project during construction. These services are provided for ongoing SCG projects, as well as on projects where the preliminary report was prepared by another geotechnical firm.
